Bright, bold and trendy- that is the new spring mantra for your outfit! Yes, go for brighter colours and bold prints and feel the season in and out. It’s Spring time and Summer is just around the corner. So feel free to experiment with your outfits and have fun with your wardrobe. The last two weeks I have been going through a bout of bad cold and fever. Most of the time was spent in bed and trust me, each time I opened my wardrobe to get some clothes, this gorgeous floral midi from Misguided was calling me and whispering in my ears, “let’s go out and have some spring fun photoshoot’’. Since then I have been waiting to do this spring style wearing this floral midi.

Last weekend, I started to feel a lot better, put on my midi and went out in the sun to have some fun. I have to say, I do enjoy my shoots and its all about having fun and expressing your inner beauty and that is what gets reflected in the photos. The weather was fantastic which is a very uncommon these days here in London 😛 . My husband captured some candid and quirky shots of mine which are usually not seen in my other posts but he insisted on keeping them on the post as I was looking alive and back to my normal and jovial self.

The Floral Midi

Midis being very versatile and feminine tend to pull me towards them. I think every woman in any shape and size can rock this trend. Having said that, the only thing to keep in mind is how to style them in the perfect way. If you are shorter in height, I would insist wearing heels to finish the look as it will portray that lady-like factor. If you are average or taller in height you can style it wearing sandals or loafers or sneakers to create that edgy look with the feminine skirt. During spring and summers you can team it with funky crop tops or fitted tops to go with. Be it a daytime outfit or for an evening look, a midi skirt can always be worn and its awe-inspiring transformation from a day look to a gorgeous evening look can make every girl fall for its true versatility. As I am wearing a bright colour and floral print, I have kept my accessories minimal keeping the focus on the skirt and that’s the key to look stylish when you style a bold colour and print. Statement pieces are really not required when styling a floral print because the print itself makes a statement, so adding something else can overshadow the whole look.

I will try and manage to keep a section of the location shoot in my posts as many of you liked some of the previous photo spots and insisted that I write about it. Well, you are the boss! So here it is: we shot these photos in and around Regents Park, London . I guess this is probably one of my favourite spots for photography. This is the place from where it all began, photos for my very first post on this blog were shot here. As summer is no too far away, click on the link and check out the dress I wore, I hope it will give you some summer outfit ideas. Many of you living outside UK may be more well acquainted with Hyde Park but I insist if you ever come to London spend a day in Regents Park and I am sure you will love it. The place has got that sweet victorian touch to it. Beautiful seasonal flowers all around, little places around the flower beds to sit and chat with your friends & family or read a good novel or go for a walk by the lake watching the goose and ducks quack and following you for food. Don’t you think it’s enjoyable?
